The first short film made with OpenAI's Sora. Amazing to see text to video working so well so quickly after GenAI came on the scene. To be sure, there are a few small wonky details in the film, but this is still amazing. What isn't shown --the prompts required to get this result, how many attempts it took to prompt this footage, and any additional post-processing made after Sora create footage -- is also important. This is clearly a harbinger of things to come for video. https://lnkd.in/d2sR2TnG

When I started in this film business, generating an image that looked more or less good was a great challenge. Now, with a few simple lines of text you can generate something like this. It is fascinating as well as terrifying. Almost as unlikely as an alien invasion 👽.And we are only at the beginning of Artificial Intelligence. Do you think we will really stop making real movies one day?#shortfilm #aiartwork #aishortfilm #scifi #mexicanfilmmaker #aifilm #filmdirector #haiper

Here, #AIWarper, shows us what a little #AfterEffects and the #Viggle tool can accomplish. It's downright freaky. 👇#AIWarper gave us the previous viral hit of #TheMatrix, stylized like a #Pixar film. Then she gave us the eerily cool #Kendomland segment, where the live-action film was used to create a #GenAi version of #Barbie that looked like the toys had come to life. The live-action film was fun, but it was maybe even funnier with the toy doll look. Many were critical it should have been CG, but that wasn't the goal of the experiment! If you want more nifty #GenAI tips and tricks from our network, be sure to hit that "follow" button!AIWarper: https://lnkd.in/gBhUwDnM

Let’s talk about budget. How much do you charge for a video like this? FYI it’s AI generated. This is my favourite example of the ew Sora AI video examples. Mostly because it has a narrative and I’m excited about the storytelling opportunities this creates that where previously impossible due to budget. The value is the same to the client irrespective of the tools you used.So how much would you charge?

„air head“ is one of the first OpenAI Sora shorts created by Walter Woodman and his team. The result is as impressive as it is creative and once again shows, that good storytelling is still essential, even with AI. For pure consistency a balloon head might be a better start than a face 😅 Even here you can see the difference in form and size depending on the shot. The million dollar questiona are: what is the process of creating such short with Sora? And how much money will you have to spent for such clips in the future? How much was altered using additional, traditional tools?#ai #openai #sora #shorts #filmmaking

If nobody told you this short film had used Sora by OpenAI, and if nobody told you about the term artificial intelligence, it wouldn't be readily apparent what was actually done using the new technology at all. Furthermore, every single shot had to be filmed by actual cameras with human people, using the program to simply connect the dots in some fashion. What's ironic, is that it is OpenAI which is full of hot air, and they are using this short film to promote their technology in such a way that may make it hard for people to use such a criticism against them. But regardless, nothing is being shown demonstrating what Sora did here.It would be more interesting to have this team, the shy kids, or another competitive team with a comparable budget (if Sora has a price yet for such use cases) to attempt making the same exact film.It would be even more interesting still, to allow filmmakers with a similar prompt to make their own film without AI, and then have viewers watch both films and vote on which they found more entertaining. A behind the scenes video could be made of both films to show the techniques and what was done with AI vs. how human beings with other technology would get it done.If AI as a technology wants to be truly taken seriously and not just get pumped up by those who are already banking on it, it needs to open itself up to fair competition of some sort. Otherwise nobody will be able to trust it or believe it fully.

This film was made using AI.It's easy to dream big when you're younger, "mum, dad, I want to be a filmmaker!"But then reality sets in, and you realise that it takes more than hard work and talent; it requires connections, resources... money. But what if it didn't?Last month, OpenAI released Sora, an AI model that can create realistic and imaginative scenes from text instructions.Sora isn't yet publicly available, but OpenAI has been working with designers, creative directors, and filmmakers to learn how Sora could aid their creative process. So, while everyone always talks about AI taking creative jobs, could it also be playing a role in creating them?#AIInnovation #Sora #OpenAI
