Florida State football produces season-low offense vs. Clemson

Florida State football (1-4, 1-3 in the ACC) is still searching for its winning ways. It will do that with another quarterback behind center.

Brock Glenn is expected to start at quarterback after the loss of DJ Uiagalelei due to a broken finger injury. FSU returns to Doak Campbell Stadium to face No. 14 Clemson (3-1, 2-0) after being blown out by SMU 42-16 last week. It will be Glenn's third career start for the Seminoles, but it will be his first time starting at Doak. He has appeared in six games dating back to last year.

The Tigers are on a three-game winning streak, producing an average of 55 points a game. Last week, they defeated Stanford 40-16, led by Tigers quarterback Cade Klubnik, who has thrown for 984 yards, 12 touchdowns and two interceptions.

FSU football falls to Clemson, 29-13. The Seminoles have lost five of the last six games, making them 1-5 (1-4 in the ACC).

Quarterback Brock Glenn showed some spark as he finished the night, completing 23 for 41 passes for 228 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. The offense only registered 250 yards, which is a season-low.

In his first career start, freshman tight end Landen Thomas led the Seminoles with seven catches for 80 yards.

The defense gave away 500 yards of offense but forced Clemson to settle for field goals in the last three quarters after trailing 17-7 in the first quarter. Cade Klubnik led the way with 235 passing yards and two touchdowns.

Clemson's tailback added 154 yards on the ground, and Antonio Williams had three catches for 84 receiving yards.

Clemson improved to 4-1 on the season and 3-0 in the ACC.

Nolan Hauser hit his fifth field goal of the night. His 24-yard attempt clinched the Tigers the win, 29-13. FSU's defense managed to keep the Tigers out of the endzone

Clemson adds three more points to extend lead to 26-13

Clemson's Nolan Hauser has been busy all night as he hit his fourth field goal, a 31-yarder to extend the Tigers' lead to 26-13.

Clemson's running back Phil Mafa burst with a 59-yard run that would set up the Tigers for another score inside the 15. Luckily, FSU's red zone defense came through after a tackle for loss by Daniel Lyons.

FSU's defense has not allowed a touchdown since the first quarter.

Brock Glenn throws his second touchdown for FSU to trail 23-13

Brock Glenn orchestrated another scoring drive for the Seminoles. He has thrown his second touchdown of the night, connecting with Ja'Khi Douglas in the endzone.

The Seminoles attempted to go for two but failed, making the score 23-13 with 9:36 left in the fourth quarter.

Shyheim Brown blocks field goal before end of third quarter

For the second time tonight, FSU's defense and special teams keep Clemson scoreless for another series.

After another defensive stop inside the red zone, Shyheim Brown blocked a 25-yard field goal as it remained 23-7 to the end of the third quarter.

Kevin Knowles II was shaken up after last play

FSU's starting nickel was injured on the field after the last tackle on running back Phil Mafa from the sidelines. Fortunately, Knowles could walk back to the sideline and be taken to a tent to be checked out.

FSU's defense has given up 313 yards in total but managed to hold the Tigers to six points in the second quarter after trailing 17-7 in the first.

FSU's defense continues to keep Clemson out of the endzone. However, the Tigers continue to keep putting points on the board.

After another third-down stop, Clemson's Nolan Hauser hit a 38-yard field goal to extend its lead to 20-7 with under two minutes left in the second quarter.

FSU freshman defensive back redshirt Edwin Joseph blocked a 38-yard field goal. This was after the FSU defense made a stop with back-to-back sacks by Patrick Payton and Cam Riley.

Brock Glenn throws his first career touchdown pass

Florida State's offense is finally on the board. Brock Glenn connected with freshman tight end Amaree Williams in the endzone for FSU's first touchdown of the night.

This followed Glenn's connection with another freshman tight end, Landen Thomas, wide open up the middle for a 35-yard pass. FSU trails 17-7 in the second quarter.

The Clemson Tigers dominated on both ends of the field in the first quarter. Before Lawrance Toafili's nine-yard run, the Seminoles have only produced one yard of offense.

Cade Klubnik has thrown two touchdown passes and is 6 for 10 for 101 yards. The last touchdown was after Brock Glenn threw an interception.

The Tigers capitalized off Brock Glenn's interception with another touchdown.

Cade Klubnik found TJ Moore on a screen pass and ran 23 yards in the endzone with only two seconds left in the first quarter. The Tigers lead 17-0.

FSU's offense continues to struggle against Clemson's defense. Brock Glenn threw his first interception of the night. Avieon Terrell caught the pick intended for tight end Landen Thomas on 3rd and 12.

FSU has only produced one yard of offense.

QB Cade Klubnik takes deep shot downfield for Clemson's first touchdown

Clemson quarterback Cade Clublik went deep and found wide receiver Antonio Williams for a 57-yard touchdown pass.

The Tigers scored in two plays, leading FSU 10-0 with 3:20 left in the first quarter. Clemson has 111 total yards on offense.

Clemson is on the board after settling for a field goal

Clemson's offense was moving the ball well but got some assistance from FSU's mistakes. A facemask and offside penalty put Clemson inside the 10.

Fortunately, the defense kept the Tigers out of the endzone. Nolan Hauser hit a 26-yard field goal to put Clemson on the board. The Tigers lead 3-0 with 6:33 left in the first quarter.

Clemson put up 12 plays for 66 yards in 5:32 time of possession.

The crowd was electric when Brock Glenn took the field. The Seminoles didn't get much offense on the first series. Glenn took a sack on third down by linebacker Barrett Carter.

FSU women's basketball coach does honorary coin toss

Brook Wyckoff, FSU's women's basketball coach, was an honorary guest to do the coin toss for the FSU-Clemson game. The capacity crowd at Doak Campbell Stadium cheered for the head coach as she is a cancer survivor.

FSU's starting linebacker is not dressed for tonight's game

FSU football is expected to be without its starting linebacker, DJ Lundy. The senior is not dressed for the Clemson game.

Lundy started every game this season. He is third on the team with 25 total tackles, a tackle for loss, and a pass breakup.

Omar Graham Jr. will be starting in place of Lundy alongside Blake Nichelson.

QB DJ Uiagalelei is wearing a cast on his throwing hand

Quarterback DJ Uiagalalei was spotted wearing a sporting cast when he was throwing his hand at Doak Campbell Stadium. Uiagalelei injured his hand during the SMU game and suffered a broken finger.

He is expected to be out for a few weeks. Uiagalelei started the first five games. He has completed 53 percent of his passes for 1,065 passing yards, four touchdowns, and six interceptions.

Florida State honors 2023 team with a plaque

Florida State football received an honorary plaque dedicated to last year's team. The plaque features the roster of players who played in the 13-1 season.

FSU went undefeated in the regular season and won the ACC championship. Despite its resume, the Seminoles were not selected in the college football playoffs.

The plaque is located in the Sod Cemetery.
